Financial Aid Information for Non-US or Non-Australian Citizens
International students do not need to submit a financial aid application in order to be considered for scholarships. Scholarship awards are made at the time of admission.
Heinz School Scholarships
There is no separate financial aid application process required for international students. International students are eligible for Heinz School scholarships unless the scholarship description specifically states otherwise. Students are awarded scholarships as part of the admissions process and are notified of the scholarship amount, if any, in the letter of admission. Students are not reconsidered for additional financial aid after the original scholarship has been awarded.
Tuition Waivers
The Heinz School does not offer tuition waivers to master's students.
Outside Scholarships
You can research other ways of financing your education at your library or on the World Wide Web. Here are some useful Web sites:
- FinAid: The Financial Aid Information Page
- FastWeb
- Fellowship Resource Advising Center
The Carnegie Mellon Fellowship Resource Advising Center (FRAC), located in 429 and 404 Warner Hall (Pittsburgh campus), maintains a searchable database of over 600 external scholarship and fellowship opportunities. If you register, you will receive information about scholarships and fellowships that might interest you throughout the year. The FRAC also provides guidance and support to students applying for external scholarships and fellowships.
